Short definitions of the specialized vocabulary used across this wiki, from coined terms to borrowed frameworks.
Overview
A glossary entry is 150 to 400 words. Each opens with a one-sentence definition, expands it in a paragraph or two, contrasts the term with adjacent terms where the term is often confused, and links to the concept or framework page that carries the fuller treatment. Glossary entries exist for four categories of term.
Coined. Terms originated within the BioConomy corpus. Retention logic. The Alpha Window. Mycelial Patronage. The Threshold Guide.
Borrowed technical. Terms taken from a source thinker and used with a specific meaning that differs from everyday usage. Transvestment (Bauwens). Demurrage (Gesell). TIMN (Ronfeldt). Panarchy (Holling and Gunderson). Threefolding (Steiner).
Framework. Named analytical structures referenced repeatedly across the corpus. The Emancipation Architecture. Regenerative Participation Income. The Coercion Continuum.
Acronym. Shorthand used more than three times across the corpus. RPI. EA. TIMN. BCU. TRANCRAA.
Terms with everyday meanings that a reader can look up elsewhere (subsidy, easement, catchment) are not given glossary entries.
