The Cape Water Performance-Based Bond (FR31PB), coordinated as the inaugural bond programme covering Strategic Water Source Areas. Individual BioHubs inside the region submit proposals into this regional funding mechanism.
Role in the network
The Overberg entity is a coordinating layer above individual BioHubs and below the BioConomy meta-wiki. Its coordination surface holds what the region can offer at the scale a single BioHub cannot, and what the region needs from peers operating comparable water source areas across other bioregions. Peer BioHub coordinators arriving at the region’s coordination surface can identify whether their own coordination fits the regional pattern before opening bilateral coordination with the constituent BioHubs.
