Clare Graves’s term for the psychological capacity required for the Momentous Leap: the leap from deficiency motivation to growth motivation, from getting to giving, from destroying to constructing, from similarity to animals to the distinctively human capacity for future orientation. In the Emancipation Architecture framework, Second Tier thinking is the psychological substrate the Transcendence trajectory requires, named Mycelial Consciousness in the coordinator’s own vocabulary.
