The inanimate physical Earth: rock, water, air, the mineral substrate on which the Biosphere and the Noosphere rest. The term originates with nineteenth-century geology and was formalized in its layered relationship to the Biosphere and Noosphere by Vladimir Vernadsky in 1926. In the BioConomy corpus, the Geosphere is what a BioHub’s monitoring, Atlas profiles, and BioScore sub-scores measure and document. The BioHub wiki translates Geospheric reality into Noospheric knowledge by publishing that documentation in structured, machine-readable form. The Tenderable Services Portfolio names six domains where the Noosphere’s service to the Geosphere becomes contractable.
