The foundational text of the Keyline Design method. Yeomans developed a systematic approach to distributing water from valleys (where it concentrates) to ridges (where it is scarce), using planned cultivation patterns that direct water flow along contour-parallel lines. The method turns the entire farm surface into a water-harvesting and distribution system, and Yeomans was among the first to treat farm design as a hydrological problem.
