Malone, R. W., and Malone, J. G. (2026, 21 October). “Paris Is Burning, and Brussels Is Still Writing Regulations.” Malone News.
The essay argues that Europe’s governments promised prosperity through bigger government, immigration and regulation, and that climate policy has raised the cost of necessities. It warns that “declining prosperity should not be confused with environmental progress,” and closes: “Rome did not become prosperous by redistributing wealth it had stopped creating. Neither will modern Europe.” The wiki used the essay as the prompt for What GDP Leaves Out, which accepts its premise that wealth must be created before it can be redistributed, answers its objection about declining prosperity, and leaves aside its immigration and crime comparison and its named political cases. The authors have not been invited to respond to that reading.
